Running With Scissors also has the ability to create 3D models from your architectural sketches. The image to the right was created to import into a Flash web presentation. The client was in the process of constructing the lobby of their main office and needed to have an image of it fade from sketch to final built result. This house was created with realistic textures from our clients 2D AutoCAD files. Using a daylight system gives you the ability to set the date, time of day, and project location to produce exact light and shadows on the model. This eighteen story apartment building was the first model to use our 3D CLIENT VIEW application, giving our client the ability to view the model from 360 degrees around, in five different camera angles. our models can be created with or without textures to allow the designer or your client to focus on design issues or examine materials and colors. daylight can be set to simulate and explore sun control issue. Our proprietary Application "3D Client View" can provide a user-friendly interface to allow your client to zoom, pan, and rotate 360 degrees to show all aspects of your design. many true Virtual Reality programs can’t handle a highly detailed model. 3D Client View is a VR simulation that allows you to control the views shown to a client while simulating actual Virtual Reality in detialed designs.Flash/508Our standalone flash applications are perfect for any multimedia CD presentation. Display your content in any medium from video to full documents with detailed searchable content. Let Running With Scissors Flash development team take your presentation to the next level. This screenshot is from the NOAA fisheries species identification web page. To comply with 508 compatibility requirements only the transitions to the eighty six secondary pages were done in flash. We designed the remaining sixty percent of the project in Java script. This contract was awarded to us through Aquilent inc. We can't show much of this flash project for the Homeland Security Department for security reasons. It was delivered as a multimedia CD with autorun to force the application to full screen. The application started with a 45 second introdution animation that faded into a detailed table of contents to navigate a 244 page document. The contract was awarded to us by Applied Marine Technology Inc. This application was a demo we built for Applied Marine Technology Inc. to display Video, Satellite images, and table of contents with sub contents at the sametime. This application will pause video and zoom to a document window to display up to 300 pages of information. 3D Models Running With Scissors 3D modeling gives you new ways of presenting existing or conceptual products. We can create models from pictures, or bring realism to your drawings. We have years of experience working with 3D Studio Max our, 3D application of choice. After a model is completed we will deliver it to you in what ever format you desire. If you like we can create a 3D animation that shows off your model. Running with scissors has a number of stock models from trains to household appliances for sale through turbosquid our service provider under our models sales section. The Congressional Budget Process application was a conversion from BetaSP to Flash. Initially it was a broadcast video produced internally by The State Department. We converted this through our Avid edit suite to export into individual chapter videos. The Flash application loads each video consecutively to be run off a multimedia CD. We worked directly with the State Department on this project.Model salesRunning with Scissors has a number of stock models from trains to household appliances for sale on two different service providers. Stock models are created for fun or other projects not owned by our clients. They can be purchased and used as many times as you like in your own 3D projects. Stock models tend to be cheaper than custom models because of the possibility of multiple sales. Custom models tend to cost more because after the model's completion it belongs to the client and can not be resold by us. The first sales service is Turbo Squid a great resource for stock models and the largest searchable data base of digital media. The Second sales Service is 3D ModelWorks a small service we support by offering our models at a slightly cheaper price.3D AnimationIf a picture is worth a thousand words, an animation must be priceless. There are three different animations combined in this video. This animated introduction was produced and edited in house by Running With Scissors studio, for “The Right Side With Armstrong Williams” a nationally syndicated television show. This animation was a self promotional introduction for a local film festival sponsored by Mini Cooper called “Mini-Flics”. When we made this video Running With Scissors was Herding Cats Corp. Hence the HC3D.com logo on the video. This animation for Ogilvy was a Homeland Security training tape. This is two animations put back to back, first is the logo intro. Second is the logo turning to smoke and changing into one of the chapter titles. This animation is an extract of a classroom training tape to demonstrate the Yaw effects of a 9mm glock bullet. This animation for CASTIRON Films. was a small short for a submission to the Icehouse commercial contest. This animation for CASTIRON films in Washington DC. They asked us if we could make them a still image of a manhole cover with their logo on it. This animation was a sales pitch to Ogilvy for the TOPPOFF2 Homeland Security contract.
